All Records Were Broken in the 2011 Horsemen of All Ages Sale, presented by Adequan

Lexington, Ky. – September 17, 2011 – All previous horsemen’s sale records were broken last night when the hammer dropped on HIP # 14 Tanya Gunther for $40,000. Consigned by Four Star Sales a date with Miss Gunther was purchased by an international horseman in Lexington for the Keeneland September Sales.
Dates with 16 bachelor and bachelorettes were up for auction at the 2011 Horsemen of All Ages Bachelor Auction, presented by Adequan, to benefit The Race For Education and their new Starting Gate program. Three Chimneys Case Clay was on hand with a light hearted roasting for all of brave and generous participants. Fasig-Tipton’s Tom Biederman and Terrance Collier brought big money to the table with auction proceeds totaling $88,100.
"That was surreal! Looked like everyone was having a lot of laughs, but it was really great to see a lot of people out there raising money for The Race For Education" commented sale topper Tanya Gunther.
Other top sellers include HIP# 9 Savannah Short, consigned Denali Stud and purchased by George Isaacs, HIP # 13 Julien Leparoux consigned by Ashford Stud, purchased by Glenna Miller for $5700, HIP # 4 Fabricio Buffolo, consigned by Darley and purchased by Brittany Branham Durtschi, HIP # 6 Chance Timm, consigned by John Fulton Bloodstock and purchased by Donna Jones for $5700 and HIP # 15 Rita Riccelli, consigned by Hill N Dale Farm and purchased by Bernard Schiappa.
Winners of the "Fan Favorite" contest on TOPSINLEX were Brandy Bailey, consigned by Walmac Farm and Jonathan Lundy, consigned by Mt. Brilliant Farm.
The event held at the historic Floral Hall at the Red Mile Race Track ended with net proceeds of approximately $100,000. "I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the people in our community. Not just but the buyers but also the 16 great folks who put it all on the line for this event" stated Elisabeth Jensen, The Race For Education President and Executive Director.
